MAT 2025 exam in September phase will be conducted in two modes – PBT and CBT. MAT PBT will be conducted on September 21 and MAT CBT will be conducted on September 28. September session Registration process is underway and the last date to apply is September 15 for PBT and September 22 for CBT. 				MAT is easier than CAT, conducted four times a year, and accepted by Tier-2 and Tier-3 MBA colleges, whereas CAT is tougher and primarily for IIMs and top B-schools.

				The MAT application fee is ₹2,100 for one test (PBT/CBT/IBT) and ₹3,300 for two tests.
What is MAT Exam?
Management Aptitude Test or MAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses at 800+ B-schools in India. The exam is conducted in two modes – offline (Paper Based Test or PBT) and online (Computer Based Test or CBT). Candidates can choose the exam mode as per their convenience and city. AIMA had introduced IBT mode exam in 2020 following COVID-19 pandemic. AIMA was the first examination agency that introducted romte proctored exam during the pandemic. It scrapped Internet Based Test or (IBT) in 2025.

- They can choose the examination phase, date and mode as per their preference.
- For every attempt, fresh MAT registration will be required.
- The score of the latest MAT attempt will be taken into consideration for admission.
- AIMA provides the option of selection of 5 colleges in the MAT form.
- AIMA sends candidate’s MAT score to the 5 colleges selected in the form for admission shortlisting.
- For apply to more than 5 MAT colleges, aspirants will have to fill their form individually.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
MAT minimum eligiblity criteria have been fixed.as per the AICTE guidelines. Given below are the eligibility criteria for MAT exam 2025:
- Graduation in any stream/course or an equivalent degree from a UGC recognised university.
- Final year graduation students awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for MAT 2025. They will have to submit passing certificate by the due date to the MBA college.
- There is no minimum score requirement for MAT. However, MAT accepting colleges have minimum score criteria of 50 percent (45 percent for reserved category).
- There is no age limit to appear in MAT. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can appear for the exam.
- Candidates who have completed a professional degree such as CA, CS or ICWA are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.
